- Three-month NEA-funded studio fellowship resulting in completion of flash fiction collection Dead Cities, Reconsidered and two accompanying letterpress broadsides
- Received personalized instruction and self-guided work time in letterpress, linocut printmaking, and bookbinding; learned to fully operate and maintain Vandercook letterpress
